Hi, I'm Katie.
I'm a Southeast Texas native with Yankee roots, inspired by small towns, vintage treasures, interesting people, and the stories that often go unnoticed. I've had a camera in my hands since I was 11, and my love for photography grew throughout my teens while documenting BMX racing and the moments happening behind the scenes.
I graduated from SCAD in 2017 with a B.F.A. in Photography and a minor in Graphic Design. My background in photojournalism has shaped the way I see the world, earning me multiple Texas APME Photojournalism Awards during my time as Chief Photographer at The Facts newspaper. Since 2018, I've also worked with The Common Market Texas, traveling across the state to document the people and places behind our food systems.
Whether I'm photographing portraits, agriculture, or everyday life, I'm drawn to honest moments, natural beauty, and the little details that make a story worth telling.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me wandering through an antique store, lost in a good book, making coffee, or somewhere in the crowd at a concert. I'm sentimental, endlessly curious, and always looking for something worth remembering.
